So, here goes.

I currently work at a daycare, three years of teaching a class of 3-4 year old children as they get ready to go to kindergarten. This hasn't been the first time something like this has occurred, but, we're shutting down.

Not enough children being enrolled, and not enough parents paying their bills on time. They can't pay us and run the school and pay the bills all at the same time, so they're shutting down.

I lose my job in roughly two/three weeks. Pretty much I become unemployed on my wedding anniversary. Great way to knock in that, huh?

So, now I'm stuck sitting at a crossroads. I know I'm going to be going onto unemployment while I look, but....

Do I go look at another daycare to work at? It's an easy job, pay is low, no benefits and the stress is high, but I generally enjoy it.

Do I throw my hat into that bullring and try my hand at sending out portfolios to look into some form of art related job? Art therapy, graphic oriented design or illustration, even if it's making those teeny flyers that advertise a club, I've done it before. Again, no benefits, but I'd be making more.

Or do I go back to school, get my teaching degree, and jump into the meat grinder that is the Florida school system? My family says I should do this, but I've had our agent from CCC and a couple others say it's a rough time as well to be a teacher for that level. But they seem to be covered more things than I have at the moment.

Retail at this point is an option I would prefer to avoid, I skirted enough luck last time working at Wally world and I know if I go back I'd likely hurt myself worse than a simple strained back that next time around. ...they really like making small women pick up large heavy things... I never realized WW was being run by Ants.

I would love to simply work on my comic finally, so I have something to show, but Fixter only makes so much at his job and he doesn't deserve to drag me along. Though, at least now he gets off of work at Nine as opposed to Midnight, so I'll see him more than to say good night. So yea, plus there at least.

Also, likely going to be opening up commissions come October. I'll have updated rates posted by than and a sign up, just have to finish what I have currently.

Ah, here comes the shit monsoon. And me with a teeny clown umbrella. Let's see if I can outrun this one too.
